Operation Swords of Iron
On the morning of 7th October 2023 the terrorist organisation Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel. Some 1,400 people were murdered, many of them civilians, including women, children and babies, and another 220 were kidnapped to Gaza. In parallel, a constant barrage of rockets has hit thousands of structures and caused extensive damage.
The Israeli government officially declared a state of war. Local authorities around the country have ordered construction sites to close, one after the other, effectively shutting down the construction industry.
